Real Madrid ready to loan Dani Ceballos to Real Betis
Real Madrid are reportedly ready to sanction a January loan exit for disgraced Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is wanted by Real Betis.
According to a report from the Spanish media Central defense, Real Madrid are open to the prospect of loaning Dani Ceballos in the summer transfer window. Real Betis want to re-sign the 25-year-old, with Los Blancos insert a compulsory purchase clause for an amount between 20 and 25 million euros.
Dani Ceballos joined Real Madrid from Real Betis in the summer of 2017 and has since struggled to carve out a place for himself in the first-team setup. Having managed just 56 appearances in two seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu, much of which was off the bench, he has been loaned to Arsenal, twice on one-season contracts.
During his visit to the Emirates, Ceballos made 77 appearances while scoring two goals and five assists in the process. However, with his spell turned upside down with Arsenal’s end, the Spain midfielder is back at Real Madrid, where his outlook might not improve much. As a result, Real Betis have entered the scene, as they look to re-sign him.
Real Betis have a pretty solid midfield unit, although perhaps they could need a boost. That’s because veteran Mexican midfielder Andres Guardado is now in his 30s and approaching the final stages of his career.
As a result, Ceballos is a viable target for Los Verdiblancos, who want to re-sign it. And now it has emerged that Real Madrid are said to be open to the prospect of loaning the 25-year-old to Real Betis in the January transfer window.
In addition to a short-term loan agreement, the Merengues could also include a compulsory purchase clause worth around 20-25 million euros. Real Betis are unlikely to have any qualms about reaching Real Madrid’s assessment next summer, paving the way for a transfer, according to the report.

Real Madrid, for their part, are unlikely to be worried about the prospect of losing Ceballos, having recently signed Eduardo Camavinga while still being linked with Paul Pogba and a few other midfielders. So, for all intents and purposes, it looks like Ceballos might just be on the way back to Real Betis, and for the better.
