Evansville and Henderson 4th of July Holiday Closures
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The 4th of July falls on a Monday this year, which means many places will be closed for the celebration.
All banks and credit unions in Evansville and Henderson will be closed for Independence Day. However, ATMs will be available.
Post offices and parcel delivery
USPS, UPS and FedEx will follow the federal holiday schedule and be closed. All mail that would have arrived on Monday will arrive on Tuesday.
The Evansville Civic Center and other city agencies will be closed on Independence Day. All buildings in Henderson County will be closed.
The Evansville Metropolitan Transit System (METS) will operate, but the office will be closed. Henderson Rapid Area Transit buses will not run.
All Evansville Vanderburgh Public Libraries and Henderson County Public Libraries will be closed on Independence Day.
Retail, restaurants and grocery stores
Most shops, restaurants and grocery stores will be open but may have adapted hours.
National and State Parks
Indiana’s state parks are open on the 4th of July and many have fireworks shows. All national parks are also open.
